Casa Mia is a boutique, fully licensed daycare center that offers Reggio-inspired Montessori programs for children aged 19 months to 5.5 years old. Our center is managed by a team deeply committed to early childhood development. We aim to create a safe and nurturing environment that mirrors the comfort of home, where each child is treasured, motivated, and guided to thrive in all areas of life.

Our program is designed around five key areas of study:
Practical
This area focuses on self-care, environmental care, social interactions, and etiquette to lay the groundwork for independence and life skills. Children learn through hands-on activities like dressing, sweeping, and gardening to promote responsibility and community awareness.
Sensorial
Designed to refine the senses, sensory activities help children distinguish differences in size, shape, colour, texture, and sound. These exercises enhance perception and intelligence to prepare them for more complex learning.
Mathematics
Our math curriculum introduces basic numeracy and progresses to more advanced concepts using tangible materials. Children explore patterns, sequences, and relationships, moving from concrete to abstract mathematical understanding.
Cultural Studies
Children discover geography, history, nature, and science to connect with the world around them. Activities include using geographical materials, observing seasonal changes, and celebrating cultural diversity.
Language
Beginning with phonetics and tactile letter recognition, language activities evolve into reading and writing. Through engaging with letters, sounds, and words, children develop strong literacy skills. We also offer Spanish lessons to our kindergarten group to enhance their cultural understanding.

Holistic Nutrition
Casa Mia is committed to promoting healthy eating and active lifestyles. Under the expert guidance of our local nutritionist and chef, children enjoy nutritional benefits that support their physical and cognitive development. Our approach emphasizes organic nutrition, ensuring that the ingredients used in our meals come from trusted sources. We aim to provide our young learners with the highest quality nutrients while minimizing exposure to pesticides and harmful chemicals. In other words, we provide all of the yum with none of the yuck!
Rhythm Activity & Movement
Casa Mia integrates music and yoga into our curriculum. Children can
explore their creativity and develop coordination in our guided music classes. Our yoga sessions provide a calming environment where children can learn relaxation techniques, improve flexibility, and embrace mindfulness.
Outdoor Sensory Play
Nature is an essential component of our program. At Casa Mia, children are invited to learn in the fresh air and sunshine while exploring a variety of outdoor structures to stimulate imagination, independent learning, teamwork, and motor skill development. We offer a nice backyard that will include a mud kitchen, teepee, natural play structures, and a garden for plating the fruits/ veggies used for lunches. We also offer summer camps so your little ones stay busy during their summer break, making life just a bit easier for mom/dad.

Casa Mia is built to be a home away from home. Our charming two-level bungalow features open, light-filled spaces with details to stimulate development and encourage independence. Here, children are free to explore, create, and discover the world around them.
