FAQ

  • How can parents support their child's Montessori education at home?

  • Are there specific qualifications for Montessori teachers?
Montessori teachers typically undergo specialized training in Montessori philosophy, methodology, and classroom management. They often hold Montessori teaching credentials from recognized training centers.

  • How do you assess children's progress in a Montessori preschool?

  • Do you follow a curriculum in your Montessori preschool?
While Montessori preschools have a curriculum framework, they emphasize following the child's interests and developmental needs rather than a rigid curriculum. The curriculum is designed to support holistic development across various domains, including practical life skills, sensorial exploration, language development, mathematics, cultural studies, and social-emotional learning.
  • How do you handle discipline and behaviour management in a Montessori environment?
Montessori emphasizes intrinsic discipline, where children learn self-control, respect for others, and responsibility for their actions through freedom within limits, clear expectations, and consistent guidance from teachers. Teachers provide gentle redirection, positive reinforcement, and model respectful behavior.
  • How is Montessori different from traditional preschool programs?
Montessori education focuses on child-led learning, individualized instruction, mixed-age classrooms, and a prepared environment with specially designed materials that promote hands-on learning and exploration.
